Is an indicator that allows you to evaluate How efficient is your Company. Must be linked to an objective or Goal.

Some steps to define your KPIs for the dashboard:

  1. Clear about what is measuring and a goal.
  2. Must have an owner.
  3. Readable format 




A good KPI contains Time, Volume, Units, target, historical data if applicable, or any other critical for your company. Allow to compare, detect and prevent unlike variations out of the company goals.

 

Example: If the objective for FY2022 is to duplicate the sales in comparison to the previous year, you can add a goal line, actual and historical sales in a period of time.

Having an owner is critical. One person at the organization will be responsible to update (Daily, weekly, or as needed). The KPI must push to migrate from point A to point B, increase sales, reduce hits, reduce customer impacts, etc. this information must be always ready to share better if the real-time methodology is implemented.

About the representation or KPI design always use the easy ones to read, select tables, graphs, trends, tendency, pay charts, all of this will generate the Dashboard you need to get your company under control.

Of course, you don´t have to invest a single dollar to get fancy software, most of the time your team can generate KPIs using office, and share via email, WhatsApp, google drive, etc.

 

BONUS: The KPI secret is to settle the KPI that correctly represents your TOP priorities as PAYMENTS, SALES, PURCHASE, PRICES, INVENTORY LEVELS, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, Etc. 


TIP: Put a TV screen attached to the wall connected to a PC that constantly shares the KPI or KOI to your employees. The crew will realize the data is changing and reflecting their efforts and are measured; Every quarter provide feedback and thank your team recognizing 1 or 2 employees for the extra, mention the importance of their actions and how that help the company to hit the GOALS make it in front of the rest of the team,
